DEFINITION OF MODEMS A modem (modulator-demodulator) is a device that modulates an  analog carrier signal  to encode  digital information , and also demodulates such a carrier signal to decode the transmitted information.  The goal is to produce a  signal  that can be transmitted easily and decoded to reproduce the original digital data. Modems can be used over any means of transmitting analog signals, from  light emitting diodes  to  radio .  The most familiar example is a  voice band  modem that turns the  digital data  of a  personal computer  into modulated  electrical signals  in the  voice frequency  range of a  telephone channel.  These signals can be transmitted over  telephone lines  and demodulated by another modem at the receiver side to recover the digital data. TO SHARE A FOLDER (OR MATTER) OF THE OTHER COMPUTER VIA DESKTOP CONNECTION.. 1)INSERT LAN CABLE (CROSS OVER CABLE) OR CONNECT BOTH THE SYSTEMS TO THE SAME DNS SERVER.. 2)MAKE A FOLDER ANYWHERE ON ONE COMPUTER(EG- 'SHARE'   THIS IS THE FOLDER NAME) AND MAKE IT SHAREABLE BY ITS PROPERTIES. 3)ON THE OTHER SYSTEM IN THE RUN COMMAND PROMPT BOX TYPE \\FIRST SYSTEM IP\FOLDER NAME (EG-  \\10.O.0.2\SHARE) 4)NOW THE SHARED FOLDER WILL OPEN ON THE OTHER SYSTEM....YOU CAN DO ANYTHING WITH THE MATTER OF THIS FOLDER,, ENJOY....

WIRELESS CONNECTION OF SYSTEMS

TO MAKE REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION VIA INTERNET WI/FI (THE NECESSARY CONDITION IS THAT BOTH THE SYSTEMS SHOULD HAVE THE SAME DEFAULT DNS OR GATEWAY .............. 1)open run command .. 2)typ ipconfig /all...check for ur ipv4(eg.  10.0.0.3 ,this is the which have been provided to u by the domain name system or DNS ) 3) NOW ON THE OTHE COMPUTER TYPE THIS IP IN MSTSC COMMAND WINDOW AND GIVE USER NAME AND PASSWORD  LIKEWISE IN STEP 5 OF LAN CONNECTION. 4)SO FINALLY YOUR SCREEN IS LOCKED AND IT IS VISIBLE ON THE OTHER COMPUTER....YOUR SYSTEM IS REMOTELY CONNECTED... 5)ENJOY IT..

To make remote desktop connection.........   VIA  lan cable(cross over cable) 1)type the command ncpa.cpl click enter 2)a window opens ....go to local area connection click right and go to properties 3)in that window go to ip version 4  and check properties and in that give an ip address  if it isn't there(eg  10.10.23.5    dont write a numeral above 255 in any ip) 4)click ok   now u have got an  ip 5) now go to run and type MSTSC and click enter 6) type the ip of the system  that u want to access remotely. 7) type USER NAME & PASSWORD OF THE COMPUTER U WANT TO ACCESS(ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT IS MUST ON OTHER COMPUTER )  and then clck enter 8) that's it  ENJOY .
